What To Do In Case Of Skin Allergy

The symptoms of skin allergy usually get cured on their own in some time, but you can do the following first aid to relieve the symptoms -

  • If you know which substance you are allergic to, then do not come in contact with that substance at all.
  • Take corticosteroid medicines available at medical stores to relieve swelling and itching.
  • Either apply cold compress on the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes or take a bath.
  • If you have rashes or rashes, wear loose clothes. Wearing tight clothes can increase your problem further.
  • Apply moisturizing cream like calamine lotion on the affected area which gives relief from irritation or itching.
  • For allergy caused by insect bites, medicines available in the market can be used which work in the same way as other allergy medicines. 
  • If you are facing more problems, take a soft cotton cloth and soak it in water and squeeze it. Now place this cloth on the affected area.

What To Do For Other Allergies

If you or someone around you have an allergy, keep the following things in mind -

  • Rest can relieve allergy symptoms, so take adequate rest in case of allergy.
  • If there is a blocked nose, give the person a decongestant medicine. 
  • If there is mild fever or hives, take antihistamine medicine available at medical stores. 
  • If the person has had an allergy before and the doctor has prescribed him medicine, then ask the person and give him that medicine.
  • If there is a problem of water coming out of the eyes, then give the person eye drops for allergy.
