Can Problast increase calcium levels in blood?

Yes, Problast can cause high calcium levels (hypercalcemia) if taken in more than the recommended doses. The normal levels of calcium are restored after discontinuation of this drug and not consuming calcium-containing products. Do not take this drug in more than the prescribed doses to avoid unpleasant side effects.

The dose of Problast varies from case to case basis depending on the medical condition of the patient. You are advised to take it as per your doctor's instructions. It is generally taken once a day or once every other day with or without a meal.
