No, Heptajoy Tablet does not cause low blood pressure (hypotension). If you are experiencing lightheadedness or blurry vision (symptoms of low blood pressure) after taking this drug then try to sit down and rest for a while till it subsides and discuss with the doctor.
Heptajoy Tablet contains L-ornithine l-aspartate which is a hepatoprotective agent. It works by promoting the synthesis of glutamine in our body which is an amino acid that binds with ammonia. This binding results in the formation of a complex which is non-toxic in nature and it is easily removed from the body by kidneys in urine. Normally, liver maintains the normal levels of ammonia in our body but to due liver damage caused by any medical condition affects this function which results in high levels of ammonia in our body (hyperammonemia ).
