Yes Gufidrox covers Escherichia coli. Gufidrox is effectively used in the treatment of infections that are caused by this bacteria.
Gufidrox contains cefalexin which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against a wide variety of bacteria. It works by preventing the cell wall synthesis in bacteria by binding to specific proteins (penicillin-binding proteins). The cell wall protects the bacteria from the environment, in the absence of a cell wall, the bacteria becomes vulnerable and dies. Gufidrox is effective against bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Beta-hemolytic streptococci, Moraxella catarrhalis, Staphylococci strains, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, and Klebsiella species.
