It is a prescription drug which is used in the treatment of hair loss (androgenic alopecia) and oral form of Brintop is also used in the management of severe hypertension (high blood pressure).

Yes, Brintop may cause itching. Itching is one of the symptoms of allergic contact dermatitis which might be caused by the use of this drug. It is a rare side effect of this drug. It occurs due to the undesirable response of the immune system of the body towards this drug and this side effect goes away after discontinuation of this drug.
