After the first three steps comes meditation. Meditation affects the mental as well as emotional side of a person.
In the beginning, we learn to get rid of mental problems. We start with mental problems or a distracted mind. There are many simple symptoms of distracted mind which you can recognize yourself like
Insomnia due to constant thinking about something or the other
Lack of concentration or inability to focus
This is a common condition for many people due to the pressure and stress of daily life. So initially, we eliminate those stresses through meditation and create mental balance.
After relaxation, we start the work of strengthening and stabilizing the mind. Yogic treatment is not complete without yoga nidra. Yoga nidra relaxes at three levels - physical, mental, and emotional.
Yoga increases our awareness, providing insight into cause and effect. As your awareness grows, you can see what is causing your asthma. You become your own doctor!
Keep these points in mind:
- Remember that relief from yoga is only achieved through constant practice and is gradual.
- Use support items, pillows, and other equipment as needed during practice to prevent joint pain from worsening.
- Do not push beyond your physical capacity. If the pain increases, stop practicing yoga immediately and consult a doctor.
