Hairben Tablet is a brand name of acetylcysteine and it comes in the form of tablet and injection. It is a prescription drug which is used as an antidote for the treatment of paracetamol poisoning to prevent liver toxicity. It is also used as a mucolytic agent to provide relief from excessive mucus (phlegm) in respiratory diseases.

Yes, Hairben Tablet can be taken with diphenhydramine. No drug-drug interaction has been reported between them. It is safe to take Hairben Tablet along with diphenhydramine if the dose of medicine does not exceed then recommended doses. However, if you feel any discomfort after taking this drug do not hesitate to inform your doctor.

For excessive mucus, Hairben Tablet has to be taken once in a day or as advised by your doctor. Precautions must be taken in patients with a history of peptic ulcer. For paracetamol poisoning only given under medical supervision.
