Butterfly pose can be very helpful in PCOS.

  • First of all, sit on the ground or mat with your legs straight in front. Keep the spine straight.
  • Now bend the feet inwards as much as possible with both hands. In this posture, the soles of the feet should touch each other and try to keep the heels close to the genitals.
  • Now place both hands on both knees and slowly press them towards the floor and bring them back up. After a few seconds, you can increase the speed. By doing this, your legs will move up and down like the wings of a butterfly.
  • This relaxes the body along with controlling PCOS.
  • If you have never done yoga, then you can do yoga asanas by sitting on a cushion.

Yoga is considered a natural and effective remedy for PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) that helps improve physical and mental health. Yoga asanas help maintain hormonal balance, which helps reduce PCOS symptoms such as irregular menstruation, weight gain, and stress. Regular yoga practice increases insulin sensitivity in the body, which controls blood sugar levels. Yoga asanas also reduce stress and anxiety, which are major factors that aggravate PCOS. Asanas like Surya Namaskar, Pranayama, and Bhadrasana are especially beneficial in PCOS as they improve the body's metabolism and activate the reproductive organs.
