  • 240 ml water.
  • 15 grams sage (fresh is best, but dried will work too)
  • 15 grams rosemary (preferably fresh, but dried will work too)
  • 15 ml jojoba oil
  • 80 ml liquid castile soap (soap made from olive oil and sodium hydroxide)

Method of preparation of shampoo -

Amla, reetha, and shikakai shampoo

Material -

  • 10 grams shikakai pods
  • 10 grams reetha berries
  • 5 grams amla

This is the basic ratio, you can adjust the ingredients proportionately according to the length of your hair. You can also use orange or lemon peels instead of amla. Don't use all three. If you use too much of all or any, it can dry out your hair.

Method of preparation of shampoo -

  • Take 750 ml of water in a pan and mix all the ingredients in it and soak them for about 8 hours.
  • Keep heating this mixture till it starts boiling. Lower the flame of the gas and boil for 5-15 minutes. You

  • Now remove it from the gas and cool it. When its temperature becomes equal to room temperature, crush reetha, shikakai, and amla/peels with your hands.

Alternatively, you can also use a pack of Multani Mitti / gram flour and curd. Mix 1 tbsp Multani Mitti / gram flour in 6-7 tbsp curd. Apply this pack to your hair and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.
